The School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds is
currently advertising PhD Projects for 2013.

Our research interests span studies of the Earth, the hydrosphere and the
atmosphere, and issues of environmental management and sustainability.
Research is grouped into four Institutes:
* Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science (ICAS)
* Institute of Geophysics and Tectonics (IGT)
* Earth Surface Science Institute (ESSI)
* Sustainability Research Institute (SRI)
We expect to recruit around 45 PhD students for October 2013. A range of
studentships are available. The deadline for NERC Doctoral Training Award
(Quota) applications is February 15th 2013.
Other directly funded studentships are available. Some of these are
open to EU and non-EU applicants. See the web pages for specific
