Human activities as well as nature produce large amounts of trace compounds
which influence the chemical composition of the atmosphere and earth's
climate.
Experimental field studies, simulation experiments and model calculations
are used to investigate the processes that control the chemical
transformation, spatial distribution of trace compounds, and their ultimate
removal from the atmosphere.
The Institute for Energy and Climate Research, Troposphere (IEK-8) at
Forschungszentrum J?lich GmbH seeks for a
Postdoctoral RESEARCH SCIENTIST (f/m)
within the High Definition Clouds and Precipitation for Climate Prediction
HD (CP)2 initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and
Research
-Reference 229/2012 -
Your Job
? Handling and analysis of the remote sensing measurements of
clouds, wind and thermodynamic properties at the J?lich Observatory for
Cloud Evolution (JOYCE)
? Reconstruction of consistent observational strategies with the
atmospheric modelers

* Basic knowledge of German or proven ability to quickly learn a new
language
* Well-structured and systematic working method
* Willingness to travel internationally (collaboration with other
