Ph.D. Graduate Assistantship in Atmospheric Sciences!
A Ph.D. Graduate Assistantship is available in the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC). The assistantship provides competitive monthly stipend and health benefits.
The successful applicant will manage his/her research project and work closely with the group members at TAMUCC and external collaborators on satellite remote sensing data (including GPS radio occultation and NASA A-Train cloud measurements) to investigate the atmospheric boundary layer and cloud dynamic process.
Applicants should have a BS degree in Atmospheric Sciences or similar disciplines. Preference will be given to applicants with a Master Degree in Atmospheric Sciences. Strong physics and math background, effectively communication orally and in writing and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment is essential. Experience on satellite remote sensing data is desired but not required.
Qualified applicants should send statement of research experience, a curriculum vitae, unofficial transcript(s), GRE (TOFEL, for international student) score(s), and the names and contact information of three references to Dr. Feiqin Xie (Feiqin.Xie@tamucc.edu).
