Head of the Hydrology and Climate group

Your tasks:
Your role is to serve as group leader for five employees in the Hydrology and Climate group and to participate in the technical work of the group's projects. You will be responsible for general marketing and project management. You will work closely with the group's technical coordinator in order to find innovative and custom-made solutions for the client's need.

The technical work:
You will be working on topics related to climate and water resources in a broad sense, particularly in relation to exploring the potential for hydro-electric power. This involves field work, quality assurance of data, data analysis, modelling and report writing. In addition, you will participate and develop research projects with strong international partners.

Applicant profile:
You are a graduate engineer, geographer, geophysicist or similar. You have leadership abilities and experience in modern project management. You have knowledge and experience of some of the following:
- Arctic hydrology
- Hydrological modelling
- Arctic meteorology and climate
- Measurement methods
- Data processing and analysis
Experience in programming, databases, GIS and statistics will also be an advantage.
Your spoken and written English is excellent. Knowledge of Danish language is an advantage.

Employment terms and conditions:
Employment will be in accordance with the collective agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant trade union. Staff accommodation will be assigned in accordance with applicable rules. Relocation and travel costs will be paid for the employee, accompanying partner and children at the time of taking up employment, as well as when leaving after at least three years of employment.
