The Atmospheric Physics Group at Imperial College London is offering various
PhD projects for the next academic year:

We are looking for graduates in physical/chemical sciences, maths, engineering,
environmental or Earth sciences with at least a 2.1 Honours degree. Funding is
only available for home and EU students.

Several Ph.D. positions in Ocean, Atmosphere and Climate Dynamics are available at Yale University, Department of Geology and Geophysics (http://earth.yale.edu/atmosphere-oceans-climate-dynamics). Particular fields of research include ocean and climate dynamics, physical oceanography, ocean-atmosphere interactions, atmospheric physics and dynamics, meteorology, ice physics, paleoclimate. The faculty and their students engage these topics using modern observational, experimental and numerical methodologies and the tools of physics, mathematics, and computer sciences. Interested students with backgrounds in atmospheric sciences, engineering, oceanography, physics, chemistry, or mathematics are encouraged to apply. Application deadline is January 2, 2015. Successful candidates will begin their program at Yale at the end of August 2015.
