Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Tropical Climate Simulation
School of Earth Sciences, University of Melbourne
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will work on a project to improve our understanding of the links between tropical cyclones and climate. Under three-year funding provided by the Australian Research Council, the appointee will join a team of researchers including Kevin Walsh at the University of Melbourne, Hamish Ramsay of Monash University and Suzana Camargo of Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory/Columbia University. The main focus of the project will be on using climate model simulations as a tool to understand the fundamental climate drivers that govern changes in tropical cyclone formation rates.
