3-years Postdoc position on Analysis of clustered and compounding weather extremes in a changing world
The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) is a research, monitoring and forecasting organization on meteorological and seismic events. It provides weather alerts, produces climate information, and gives advice and information to stakeholders and the general public. The Department of Research & Development on Weather and Climate Models (RDM) is a recently formed research unit consisting of experts on weather, climate and chemical transport modelling. It supports the operational forecasting and alert function of KNMI, and contributes to the (international) network of scientific research in these areas. Expertise areas concentrate on modelling (extreme) meteorological events, physical, chemical and dynamical processes in the atmosphere, sea level rise and climate change studies. RDM consists of approximately 50 staff members and is involved in many international research projects
We are looking for a candidate with a finished PhD degree in physics, applied mathematics, or an equivalent study. More information can be found in the attached document.
