the Climate Dynamics group at the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research, Bremerhaven, Germany invites applications for a PhD position in the area of numerical ocean modelling. The 3-year position is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) within the DFG TRR 181: "Energy transfer in Atmosphere and Ocean", which offers ample opportunity for science interactions and networking on the national and international level, see here <http://www.trr-energytransfers.de> for details of the TRR (TRansRegio, similar to a CRC).
