Openings of Project Engineer post at C-DAC, Pune, India
Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is a R&D institute,
an autonomous society under Ministry of Communication and IT, Government
of India (www.cdac.in). Computational Atmospheric Science group of C-DAC
is engaged in high performance computing in Atmospheric and
Environmental Sciences (www.cdac.in/html/secg/cas.asp).
Currently we have a position for two Environment Scientist and two
Atmospheric Scientists in our Research and Development activities in Air
Quality and weather forecasting. We are looking for qualified, self
motivated professionals with good track record.
Qualification: First Class M. Tech or equivalent in Environmental Science
/ Meteorology / Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ physics/ Civil
engineering/ chemical engineering/ environmental engineering/ Oceanography
with two years of relevant experience OR Ph. D.
Essential experience:
Expert knowledge of air pollution systems, atmospheric chemistry,
Scientific programming
Expert knowledge of emission inventories
Exposure to Numerical methods
Expert Knowledge Unix/Linux usage/ Fortran 77/90,
Exposure to C, C++, GIS tools
Good oral and written communication
Ability to work in team with good time & priority management skills.
Mature to handle collaborative projects with external agencies
Desired experience:
Knowledge of software tools like debuggers, visualization tools, graphic
compilers
Experience of using GRADS/NCL/Matlab
Knowledge of ocean models
Knowledge of handling large scientific databases and scientific
analysis
Ability to learn scientific software packages
Ability to work in team with good time and priority management skills
Mature to handle collaborative projects with external agencies
Ability to learn scientific software packages
Age: Preferably Below 35 years.
