VACANCY FOR JUNIOR WEATHER FORECASTER (Ref JWF-2011/11)
FUGRO GEOS (www.geos.com) is part of the Fugro Group (www.fugro.com) and is one of the world's leading companies specialising in meteorological forecasting, assessment and consultancy.
We are continuing to expand our world-wide marine weather forecasting operations and we have a vacancy for a JUNIOR WEATHER FORECASTER at our forecasting office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Candidates must have a Degree in meteorology or a Degree in mathematics/physics plus a professional recognised forecasting qualification from the UKMO, RNAS, BOM, Indian Met Service, Philippines Met Service (PAGASA) etc.
The JUNIOR WEATHER FORECASTER will work under the supervision of an experienced forecaster and will be responsible for drafting out forecasts prior to review and distribution.
The position will be on a bachelor status. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from both sexes.
A competitive package will be offered commensurate with qualifications, experience and skills. Staff may be expected to work shifts, weekends and during public holidays. Initial training on our proprietary software will be provided.
