POSTDOC POSITION IN LARGE-SCALE DYNAMICS AND CLIMATE MODELING
Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University invites
applications for the position of a postdoctoral fellow. The successful
candidate will conduct research in the general area of climate and
large-scale dynamics focusing on Southeastern US hydrological cycle,
modes of low-frequency variability on intraseasonal to interdecadal time
scales, and feedback processes in the climate system. A strong
background in dynamical and statistical analysis and numerical modeling
are required. Experience of working with idealized general circulation
models (GCMs) and/or regional climate models is desirable. The preferred
starting date is March 1, 2012. The initial appointment is for one year,
renewable for up to two additional years subject to satisfactory
progress and funding availability. Salary will be commensurate with
experience. For full consideration, please send via regular mail or
email a statement of research, a current curriculum vitae, and the names
and contact information of three references to: Wenhong Li, Division of
Earth and Ocean Sciences, Nicholas School of the Environment, Duke
University, 321C Old Chemistry Bldg, PO Box 90227, Durham, NC 27708,

Harvard Postdoctoral Position
I invite applications for a Postdoctoral Position in Atmospheric Chemistry
Modeling at Harvard University. The successful candidate will examine
interactions between tropospheric chemistry and climate, with at least the
first year of research devoted to investigating the oxidation capacity of paleo
atmospheres. He/ she will become a member of the large and intellectually
stimulating Atmospheric Chemistry Modeling Group at Harvard
(acmg.seas.harvard.edu). Applicants should have a PhD in atmospheric chemistry
or related field.
Please email a curriculum vitae, contact information for three references, and a
one-paragraph statement of interest to Senior Research Fellow Loretta J. Mickley
(mickley@fas.harvard.edu), School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard
University. Harvard University is an equal opportunity / affirmative action
