The Group of Atmospheric Optics, Valladolid University, offers a PhD
position (4-years, full time) in the field of remote sensing of atmospheric
aerosols.
We seek a motivated student interested in pursuing research on advanced
methods for retrieval of aerosol optical and microphysical properties
within the frame of AERONET. The project title is ?Scientific and technical
development and applications of the RIMA-AERONET network (DATEC-RIMA)?, and
it is basically focused on the inversion of sun-sky radiance observations
and the product quality assurance. The research will be carried out in
close collaboration with scientist from other Institutions, such as the
Laboratory of Atmospheric Optics (LOA, Univ. of Lille) and GSFC-NASA. The
applicant will benefit from the international experience of the group.
Degree in Physics, Meteorology or related field is required, as well as
good knowledge of the English language. Experience in remote sensing and
basic programming skills are desirable.
