Atmospheric Remote-Sensing Scientist
?26,610 - ?29,566 per annum
STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory
Oxfordshire
Background
These two posts will be in the Remote-Sensing Group (RSG) within the Earth Observation and Atmospheric Science Division of RALSpace. RSG focuses on sounding atmospheric composition from satellites, for which it has a leading role in NERC?s National Centre for Earth Observation and collaborates closely with UK university groups. The RSG also has an important role in preparing for future satellite missions to sound atmospheric composition and airborne observations, for which it co-operates internationally in projects for ESA, Eumetsat, EC and NASA. Observing techniques range from uv through ir to millimetre-wave spectrometry for trace gases, vis/ir imaging for cloud and aerosol and nadir- and limb-viewing geometries. A specific focus is on development of an integrated scheme to combine observations from sensors with different attributes.
Please find attached advert text. This role is open to any one in the world, there are no visa restrictions.
