The University of Exeter are looking for a postdoc to fill a position.... It's a NERC-funded project concerned with modelling the 3D structure of vegetation in urban green spaces. They need someone with a good working knowledge of practical RS, particularly Lidar, and if they also happened to be good at programming it would help! The project has a strong ecological component too, and plenty of fieldwork opportunities, so it's quite varied and interdisciplinary.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Systems Administrator to join the Systems Group at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) located on the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus near Cambridge in the UK.
This position is in the Compute and Virtualization team which is responsible for EBI's central computing services including email, ftp, virtual infrastructures, clouds and compute.
The EBI maintains clusters totalling 1,500 nodes which are used for production services and by several hundred developers and researchers. Additionally, EBI has more than 1000 servers and VMs, mostly RHEL6 hosted on VMware and several pilot projects in progress utilising cloud technologies to provide secure, flexible infrastructure to external users, close to the EBI's data resources.
There will also be the opportunity to get involved in projects that offer opportunities to learn new skills.
The EBI is part of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and is a world-leading bioinformatics centre providing biological data to the scientific community with expertise in data-storage, analysis and representation.
