FFCUL, the Portuguese partner of ERA-CLIM2 (www.era-clim.eu) is issuing 2 research grants for 35 months, to work at the University of Lisbon in the oldest Portuguese meteorology observatory. One of the research grants is for applicants with a BSc degree, the other for applicants with a Master degree. Announcements can be seen at

Work to be developed concerns the recovery and analysis (quality control and homogenisation) of data from 1900 onwards for Portugal, iles (Madeira, Azores), former Portuguese colonies (Angola, Mozambique, Guin?-Bissau, Cape Verde, S?o Tom? and Principe, Macao, East Timor, Nova Goa) and Chile.
Successful applicants will be trained as observers.
Availability to remain in the post for 35 months is a priority.
