Meteorological Service of New Zealand Ltd (MetService) and MetraWeather are looking for a Broadcast and Media Meteorologist to support our growing portfolio of multimedia products and presentations of high quality weather content.
While having access to our forecasting floor, this role will lead the quality control for the meteorological content for our global multimedia product. We will expect interested candidates to shine at writing, producing and presenting short weather shows for multimedia distribution translating complex weather patterns into easy to understand presented content for a wide audience.
With a broad experience of weather graphics products, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in the development of our products and support our sales efforts. Also to train, develop and mentor other meteorologists with broadcast aspirations. There?ll be accountabilities for long form weather content and global events of public interest too.
