Researcher Windstorm Risk
We currently have a position open in our natural catastrophe research team in Zurich for a windstorm risk researcher.
The successful candidate will provide expertise on wind and related hazards, such as precipitation and storm surge, caused by atmospheric perils such as tropical cyclones, windstorms and tornados. Implement wind and related hazards in in-house catastrophe models which differentiate lines of business, coverage types, secondary risk characteristics and geography. Follow and provide commentary on vendor model wind hazard methodologies and developments.
Qualifications are a Masters degree or preferably a PhD, in the field of climatology, meteorology or a related discipline. Experience in either catastrophe model development, or the catastrophe (re)insurance industry an advantage.
