The Department of Meteorology and Climate Science at San José State
University has several Graduate Assistant positions available for the
2015-2016 academic year. In addition to Teaching Assistant (TA) positions,
there are Research Assistant (RA) positions in areas of climate modeling,
fire weather and wildfire dynamics, mesoscale and tropical cyclone
modeling, mountain meteorology, wind energy applications, and airborne
cloud observations.
The newly funded NASA MIRO Center for Atmospheric Research and
Education (CAARE) at SJSU also has a number of Graduate Assistantships
available for fall 2016. The Center has a particularly strong interest
in aerosol, urban heat island, wildfire and their impacts on air
quality, public health and climate change.
The deadline is 15 January 2016 for full consideration for available
Graduate Research Assistantships, although applications will be
accepted until 1 April 2016for all other candidates.
