OGS (National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics, http://www.ogs.trieste.it/en) is looking for a Computer Science specialist to join the SEISLAB team. The SEISLAB project aims at developing and maintaining an integration environment for geophysical software and data in use at OGS.
Requirements
• Master degree in Scientific disciplines,
• Ability to implement software projects with high
level programming languages, preferably C++/.NET,
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases,
• Hands-on experience dealing with large datasets,
• Good knowledge of virtualization architectures
based on VMware,
• Good knowledge of English,
• Ability to be a team member, yet having a strong
autonomy in his/her field of expertise.
Any knowledge in GUI development, or in tools for seismic data processing would be much appreciated.
