http://www.monash.edu/science/schools/earth-atmosphere- environment

You will undertake research on the relationship of rainfall and atmospheric
convection with tropical multi-scale dynamical systems as part of a team of
the ARC Centre of Excellence on Climate System Science. The project
will make extensive use of ground-based remote sensing observations,
satellite data and numerical analyses and re-analyses to better understand
how the character of tropical rainfall is coupled to the dynamical systems
it is embedded in. A special emphasis will be on elucidating the
multi-scale nature of the convection-dynamics interaction and on
identifying how different characteristics of convection, such as its degree
of organisation, might depend on dynamical features of the tropical
atmosphere.

As the successful candidate, you will conduct research of the highest
international quality in a team of like-minded individuals. You will
publish your results in world-leading journals and present them to your
peers at major national and international conferences.

If you feel that you have the skills and experience to make this role a
success your application is encouraged.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements
may be negotiated.

Your application must address the selection criteria. Please refer to[image:
