As part of a Energy & Automated Prediction Service team you will be
involved with the prototyping and testing of new computer weather
forecasting systems. You could be working on models of the atmosphere,
advanced statistical and machine learning methods, and pre-operational
development of systems.
We expect you to have an honours degree or above in mathematics, physics
or computer sciences, to thrive in a team environment, and to excel at
communicating scientific and mathematical concepts to non-scientific
people within the organisation.
Some programming experience together with a strong willingness to test
and develop new ideas and strategies is desired.
For further information please contact:
Andy Ziegler, Manager Forecasting Research

Application closes 19 August 2011

Andy Ziegler
