Arctic boundary-layer and dynamics

?30,122 to ?35,938 per annum

The postholder will work on air-sea-ice interactions and atmospheric boundary-layer dynamics in the Arctic. You will take part in an aircraft-based field campaign in the Arctic and be responsible for the analysis of some of the observational data. You will work with numerical weather prediction models and/or NWP output to investigate how well these models perform and to test new parameterizations and ideas on dynamics.

You must have or expect to shortly be awarded a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification.

This full time post is available from 1 October 2012 for a fixed-term period of two years.
