Postdoctoral Scholar in Climate Change Science at UCLA
The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences seeks a postdoctoral scholar in the area of climate feedbacks. The postdoctoral scholar will collaborate with Professor Alex Hall. The project involves quantifying feedbacks in climate change simulations and constraining them with observations. It could also involve analyses of simulated and observed climate variability. The position is nominally for one year, though it is renewable for a period of up to three years subject to satisfactory annual progress. Applicants should have a PhD in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences or a related field, and strong oral and written communication, analytical, and programming skills.
To apply, please submit via e-mail a brief statement of research interests and goals, with a complete CV, and contact information for three references to Dr. Xin Qu at xinqu@atmos.ucla.edu<mailto:xinqu@atmos.ucla.edu>. Receipt of applications will be confirmed with an e-mail response.
The application deadline is Monday, 15 August 2011.
