A Post-Doctoral Position is available at the Helmholtz Centre for Ocean
Research Kiel (GEOMAR), Kiel, Germany within the German Research
Foundation (DFG) collaborative research centre (SFB) 754:
Climate-Biogeochemical Interactions in the Tropical Ocean
Topic: Simulation of tropical marine climate-biogeochemical interactions
from the Holocene into the Anthropocene
The candidate applying for the position must have good experience in
using a coupled atmosphere-ocean model and/or a physical-biogeochemical
ocean model. He/she will be responsible for running a coupled
climate-biogeochemistry model and will also analyse the modes of
variability in ocean circulation and climate relevant for the
ventilation of Oxygen Minimum Zones. Therefore, experience in advanced
statistical methods is required.
The full-time position is available for 3.5 years starting 1st June
2012. The salary will be according to the E13 TVo?D pay scale. GEOMAR is
